First, let me congratulate you on fair play and sense of humor, visible in the post you wrote in your blog. I want to clarify it an important point, that in Portugal everybody understands: the young people read little. The fact that a group of teenagers have read your work and have taken a public position is almost a cultural event. The natural thing they use to do is to be drinking beer on a Saturday afternoon. This is the beautiful side of the "riot" :), even more beautiful because it showed no aggressiveness, censorship, acrimony. And I pointed out the rarity of the event. For your enjoyment, I confirm that a remarkable pair of breasts where holding one of the posters, and that your book was a bestseller in Portugal. Viscerally against burning books (which brings me bad memories, and I believe you too) I submit that in my country freedom of expression is uncompromisingly defended. And I'm happy with that. A final note: The author of the term "transgenic literature" was me. But that's because I am, as you can see with a little attention on my blog, a boring, unbearable and narrow-minded intellectual. I have indeed used plasters on many occassions to stem the blood flow, while being watched innocently from a distance, only to find he tries again as soon as I sit down. Thank you for the laughter, although not a funny situation, it is funny when written down.
