Addendum: the Google translator made you a funny wrong idea. Baptists were not those young people. They were atheists, I bet my hat.

Dear Sir
I am the "brave reporter" who photographed the group of people, all young people, who were demonstrating peacefully against the reading of your book.
First, let me congratulate you on fair play and sense of humor, visible in the post you wrote in your blog.
I want to clarify it an important point, that in Portugal everybody understands: the young people read little. The fact that a group of teenagers have read your work and have taken a public position is almost a cultural event. The natural thing they use to do is to be drinking beer on a Saturday afternoon. This is the beautiful side of the "riot" :), even more beautiful because it showed no aggressiveness, censorship, acrimony. And I pointed out the rarity of the event.
For your enjoyment, I confirm that a remarkable pair of breasts where holding one of the posters, and that your book was a bestseller in Portugal.
Viscerally against burning books (which brings me bad memories, and I believe you too) I submit that in my country freedom of expression is uncompromisingly defended. And I'm happy with that.
A final note: The author of the term "transgenic literature" was me. But that's because I am, as you can see with a little attention on my blog, a boring, unbearable and narrow-minded intellectual. Whom thou shalt not call any importance.
Kind Regards

Manuel Margarido
(please forgive my writen english, would you?)

Hi Mario, I just started reading The Nostradamus Prophecies this morning and stumbled across your blog. I don't usually comment but I'd just like to say how pleasantly surprised I am by the quality of your posts, which are actually interesting, informative and inspiring -- and not just a marketing tool. Keep up the good work!

Mario, what an interesting account. I some times should listen to my inner voice.

I am currently managing a clinic in Nanjing China, I have left my previous employment and gone back to what I do best...

hope all is well, I have nearly finished NP and have enjoyed it very much.

drop me a line.

all the best
Steve

Thank you for a wonderful descriptive picture of you and the cat - having one who does very much the same while I work on photographs, in my case a very large black and white monster.

I have indeed used plasters on many occassions to stem the blood flow, while being watched innocently from a distance, only to find he tries again as soon as I sit down.

Thank you for the laughter, although not a funny situation, it is funny when written down.
